Perception and selective attention

Human vision has multiple stages, the latter of which seem to be governed by selective attention. We have explored what can be selected by visual attention, at what point in the course of visual processing does such selection take place, how this process selects elements of a visual scene, what selective attention does once it has selected its target, and what fundamental mechanisms can explain the empirical findings we observe.
